What type of dress were you originally looking for when you started dress shopping? Did you end up with something similar or completely different?
In my initial search for “the dress”, I was looking for either a sheath or modified A-line silhouette. I knew I wanted something with sleeves. After trying on several styles, Monica presented me with a “wild card” dress; once I put it on I knew it was something special! I realized it totally fell into the realm of what I had been looking for: sophisticated and effortlessly glamorous.
How did you know that you found "the dress"?
I knew I found “the dress” when my mother and sisters started to get teary eyed! I had to have this dress. I hadn’t seen any others like it.
Tell us about your experience at Bride To Be Couture. What was your favorite part?
My favorite part about Bride To Be Couture is the wonderful customer service. I was a bridal stylist for many years so I was extremely appreciative of how personable and professional the staff is. My husband and I moved to the East Coast in the middle of planning our California wedding, and I wasn’t able to make it to more than a couple of fittings. This remarkable team left me with zero concerns and presented a finished product beyond what I dreamed of. Monica is patient, communicative, kind, and creative; she worked with talented in-house seamstress, Oksana, to create custom sleeves for my dress. Everything was absolutely perfect. I will continue to recommend Bride to Be Couture in a heartbeat to brides looking for a smooth and memorable experience.
Do you have any advice for brides that are at the beginning of their dress shopping journey?
I would advise a bride to go dress shopping with no more than 3 trusted friends or family members. Definitely be prepared with ideas and silhouettes for your dress... be very open to the stylists’ ideas that compliment the wedding theme, your personality and body type. Above all, have fun and be sure to eat a snack beforehand! Cheers!
