What type of dress were you originally looking for when you started dress shopping? Did you end up with something similar or completely different?
I had a very specific dress style in mind when I started shopping. I knew I wanted a royal ballgown and I was able to customize my dress to be exactly what I wanted. It was a long process but I couldn’t have been happier with the results.
How did you know that you found "the dress"?
I was torn between two dresses and ended up paying a down payment on the one I thought I loved. When I got home that day I cried because deep down inside I knew I wanted the other dress. I messaged Alex, and I asked her if I could wait on placing the order even though I already paid a deposit. She said yes and asked if I’d like to come in and try it on again. I went in, tried on the dress and just knew it was the one, not the original one I first picked. I didn’t want to take it off. I asked if I could make changes to make it exactly what I wanted and I was told yes and that was it.
Tell us about your experience at Bride To Be Couture. What was your favorite part?
I couldn’t have had a better experience at Bride To Be Couture. I told Alex when I first came in what I had in mind, I showed her some photos and was very specific in details. She pulled a few dresses that I loved. From the beginning I wanted my dress to be one-of-a-kind and the team made it happen. I loved the material of the dress but wanted more beading, lace and sparkle. I was able to buy beaded lace and the amazing seamstress cut it up and attached it to my dress like puzzle pieces till it was exactly what I wanted. My favorite part was that I never got “no” for an answer. The team worked hard and I felt the team members genuinely wanted me to love my dream dress and I did.
Do you have any advice for brides that are at the beginning of their dress shopping journey?
My advice to brides beginning their shopping journey: Go with your gut feel. I don’t know how to describe it, but you will just know when you find “the dress.” And don’t ever feel pressure or feel rushed to make a decision. Do what you want and if you don’t like anything leave and try again. It’s possible to completely customize a dress. So, say what’s on your mind and share what you’d really love for your dress to look like.
