What type of dress were you originally looking for when you started dress shopping? Did you end up with something similar or completely different?

I had no idea what kind of dress I was originally looking for. I knew I wanted something with sleeves, a bit sexy, light and perfect for the beach. I never thought I would go with a plunging neckline or something as fitted as my dress.

How did you know that you found "the dress"?

I had been to 7 appointments in 5 different cities and in 3 different states. The dress I ended up taking home was one of the first dresses I ever tried on and liked. I didn't purchase the dress originally because it was missing something and didn't feel like 'the one'. When Monica suggested trying the dress on again and then added embellishments she completed the dress. She gave the dress an extra touch that made it unique adding what was lacking before and turning it into 'the dress'. When my mother, mother-in-law and sister all started to tear up we knew we finally found it.

Tell us about your experience at Bride To Be Couture. What was your favorite part?

My favorite part was the creativeness of the team. From alterations to change the dress to my ideal shape and flatter to adding embellishments to make a unique dress just for me. After going to countless wedding dress appointments I finally found a place that listened to me and could see my vision. When I first tried on 'my dress' it was at a different store and had they made the suggestions Monica did, I wouldn't have spent months searching. I also loved that Monica 'held my hand' throughout the entire process and was always there for me during fitting appointments to reassure the dress would fit perfectly at the end.

Do you have any advice for brides that are at the beginning of their dress shopping journey?

Don't be afraid to have fun and be a sexy.  Try the dress on even if you don't think you'll like it. You'll never know every dress looks completely different on your individual self than it does on the model or the hanger.
