Numbering The Guest Tables

Numbering The Guest Tables: Effective and Frugal!
When you are planning your seating chart for your guests, there is no room for error. You do not want ex’s sitting with other ex’s sitting with in-laws sitting with distant cousins! It does not work that way, your wedding is a social event but in no way is it some sort of mixer! Make sure your guests have their name cards with a table number clearly marked on them. Now, make sure the table is marked appropriately; bold and noticeable, but still following your wedding theme. Here are some ideas.
A more flamboyant and gold colored wedding may opt for gold colored mylar balloons placed in the center of each table shaped in the shape of the table number. Colors that may go well with this idea are white, red, pink, and even gorgeous crystal glasses.
Using a bit of your DIY prowess you can use chalkboard paint on the side of a small planter. While enlisting the friends with the best handwriting to write out the table numbers in their best hand writing, this is surely a way to show your guests that you care. And that you are crafty!
If you are having a vintage styled wedding, then start collecting ahead of time for themed items. You can find some very elaborate and detailed mirrors in thrift stores and flea markets. While you use a marker designed for glass writing you can write the table number in calligraphy like manner and really bring the vintage theme together.
Living in the south you will definitely know what an Amber jug is. If you are having a southern themed wedding or if you are having a reception in a barn or on a farm you can reuse Amber jugs as the table number markers. Make sure you remove the labels and clean them up very nice before you write on them in paint marker the table numbers.
This is only a few ideas and the lovely staff at Bride to Be Couture will be happy to help you with more. Feel free to give us a call at 916-972-8223.
