Born in Montreal (little Paris) Canada, a well-known fashion capitol of the world makes it no surprise that this Sacramento bridal shop owner has a natural passion for fashion. After graduating with a bachelor’s degree in business and a minor in the arts, Dina took a position with a large airline. This career path developed a world traveler for many years until her first son was born and time with the family was more important than her travels.
Dina left the airline and joined a large travel network as Corporate Event Planner. Here she utilized her experience in business and gained extensive knowledge and experience in training staff on customer service skills with above and beyond programming. She was responsible for all details in development and presentation of large on-site meeting movements including; flight arrangements, ground transfers, pre tours, post tours, meeting facilities, catering, on site activities and more.
Through traveling she gained even more enthusiasm for different cultures and designs and having a family in the apparel industry for over 30 years she left the corporate world and a vision was born. With many friends and family in the Carmichael area she grew to really love all the people she met through acquaintances and other businesses and very grateful for the support she received- bringing Bride To Be Couture too be.
Dina officially opened Bride To Be Couture as a sample shop offering some of the most unique designers and exclusive gowns including one-of-a-kind wedding dresses that cannot be found elsewhere. All gowns are chosen very carefully with current styles and trends in mind and options for all budgets.
Dina’s experience, travels and keen eye for design combined with true love and passion for what she does is the very essence behind Bride To Be Couture and is shown throughout the entire team. They are truly honored to be a chosen shop for every person who walks through the door and knowing that most arrive as strangers but leave as friends is the fulfilled feeling they thrive to achieve every time.

Anita Borovnica, Bridal Consultant
Anita Borovnica is a Senior Bridal Consultant and has devoted her skills and expertise to the future brides of Bride to Be Couture for many years now. After being introduced through modeling dresses for the boutique, Anita joined the team to provide the highest quality of service in assisting brides with all their bridal needs.
Anita’s enthusiasm and professionalism along with her experience in the bridal industry, eye for style and love for fashion are essential in creating a positive experience for each individual bride while searching for that perfect gown. Anita also speaks fluent English, German and Serbo-Croatian. If she is not busy searching for the ‘best’ when saying ‘I do’ you might find her spiking a volleyball, swimming or running in her very active life.

Monica Saltsman, Bridal Consultant

Monica Saltsman is a Sacramento Native with a passion and deep appreciation for fashion and art. Her creativity began when she studied Sports Journalism at Cuesta College and interned for 3 years with The Sacramento Bee’s Sports Department. As she explored and mastered the world of journalism her focus turned to Fashion Journalism which blossomed into Fashion Design where she transferred to design school at American River College. As she pursued a new goal in Fashion Design, she excelled and was honored with Best in Show in the school’s annual Fashion Show in 2011.
After a long career in retail, Monica was ecstatic to pursue her love for fashion, and love of people by joining the Bride To Be Couture Staff in 2015. For her, there’s nothing better than that perfect moment when a bride realizes she’s found the dress of her dreams.
Desi Kiriakes, Bridal Consultant

Desi graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelor’s Degree in Liberal Arts & Science and a Minor in Communications. After College, Desi took a position with The Sacramento Kings and then later switched careers to an Account Executive at a local Marketing Agency representing McDonald’s. After years in Corporate America, Desi decided she wanted to experience a new professional and personal endeavor that would challenge her approach towards life and creativity, which brought her to Bride to Be Couture.
Working at Bride to Be Couture allows Desi to use her creative background and the ability to express her passion, enthusiasm and compassion for her Brides and the Industry. Every Day is a new experience with a new Fairy Tale Ending.

Ellie Kouvdos – In House Seamstress
Born in Greece and speaking fluent English and Greek, Ellie brings an impressive background, skills and talent. As an essential part of the Bride To Be Couture team Ellie provides every bride with the highest quality of custom design to meet each individual need.Beginning her love for sewing at the age of 16, Ellie attended school at in Athens majoring in Pattern Making and all aspects of Fashion Design. Ellie came to San Francisco in 1973 where she worked in detailing on furs, garments and apparel. From here she went on to work for 12 years for one of the largest bridal stores in Northern California, Bridal Mart, until they closed down in 2010.
Ellie has built a very well known and positive reputation in the bridal industry and has been providing seamstress expertise at Bride to Be Couture since it’s opening. She is responsible for performing detailed bridal gown work including; custom veils, beaded appliqués, belts, embroidery and any custom detail requested for a gown. When Ellie is not spending her time individualizing the bride’s look, she loves to spend time with her dog “Vito” and her two sons and granddaughter.
Oksana Bezsmertny- Head Seamstress
Born in the Ukraine Oksana speaks Russian, Ukranian and English. She plays a very important role on the Bride to Be Couture team as Head Seamstress. Her expertise and experience are well represented in the work she provides for every custom bridal request. Oksana finished two specialty colleges and studied fashion design in her country for 6 years. She moved to the U.S. in 2004 and worked as a seamstress in a bridal shop for 4 years until joining the Bride to Be Couture team where she has been since its opening in November 2011. Oksana has over 20 years of experience, growing and expanding her seamstress talents in the bridal industry, performing alterations and custom design.When not busy creating that custom look for each bride’s unique taste, Oksana likes to spend time with family and friends, read, cook and loves to bake- the B2BC team greatly appreciates when she brings in her favorite baked goods.
Yvette, Bridal Consultant
Its rare to find a bridal consultant like Yvette who comes with such a wealth of experience. She has helped thousands of new brides for over 35 years, and has a passion for fashion! She is also an accomplished seamstress, and these combined skills have made her a valuable expert in helping thousands of new brides find the perfect dress—one that they love, and one that will look spectacular on them on their wedding day.
Yvette was born in France, and perfected her needlework skills there at a very young age. She relocated to the US many years ago after falling in love, and marrying her American husband. She is now a proud mother of two adult children, and a devoted grandmother of a millennial.
When Yvette isn’t helping new brides, she spends her time gardening when the weather is good, and knitting when the weather is bad. She also loves trying out new recipes from the latest Ina Garten cookbook, and checking for messages from her grandson on her IPAD.
